March 10, 2008. Liberty Iron & Metal Holdings and its German parent Scholz AG have undertaken a new joint venture in the USA. The two companies have taken equity positions in Mercer Co., which runs operations at Sharon (Pennsylvania) and Girard (Ohio), as well as in Niles Iron & Metal LLC which operates two facilities at Niles, Ohio.
