Hello, my name is Erica and I'm a Junior at John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown, Ky. I was just wondering how a student like me could get the community to start recycling better? Do you know who I could talk to and do you think that they would listen? I just found out that 210 million tons of waste are produced each year and that 2/3 or our worlds landfills have been shut down in the last 10 years, and at the rate we're going I think the last 1/3 of our landfills will be shut down soon. We only recycle 13 percent of that 210 million tons of waste. If everyone starts to recycle maybe we can keep the environment healthy and safe for us in the future and maybe we'll be able to keep our landfills. Thank you for your time in reading this.
