Dear Vladimir Bojko,

You can receive general/technological information introducing you to recycling in one of several ways:

1. Two good introductory and technological-inclusive books that are essential to read are:
Waste Age/Recycling Times Recycling Handbook, ed. by John T. Aquino (Lewis Publishers, 1995)
Decision-Maker s Guide to Solid Waste Management, by US EPA Office of Solid Waste, 1996.

This latter is available from the Research Library for RCRA. You must send us a postal mailing address and a request for it specifically. You can send this to : FRIEDMAN.FRED@EPAMAIL.EPA.GOV by E-mail.

2. The 2nd method is to read at least a year s worth of issues of some of the following periodicals:
Waste Age (a must)
Resource Recycling
Recycling Today
Solid Waste Report
and then throw in all articles you can find in the Wall Street Journal for the opposing picture.

3. There are many other introductions, and I do not mean to suggest or endorse these as the only ones.
