Dear Maricol Quintana,
This has been in the waste management news recently, especially as regards the composting of fish processing wastes, and again, particularly in the State of Maine. Biocycle Magazine had several relevant articles in the July and August 1996 issues. Another article appears on the composting of Tuna processing wastes in the Proceedings of the 2nd US Conference on Municipal Solid Waste Management, June 2-5, 1992, Arlington, VA sponsored by US EPA and SWANA.
The best all-around source on composting, which will include fish wastes is called On-Farm Composting Handbook and is put out by the Cornell University Cooperative Extension Service.
If you can t locate all but this last reference, leave a message for me that includes your postal mailing address and I will send copies of the articles mentioned above, plus perhaps a few others.
