A good source for recycling of rubbers and elastomers was requested by an anonymous requester.
The trade magazine Scrap Tire News is the best source of information on tire rubber. For other sources of rubber, the rubber trade associations and their publications will provide sources.
The Clean Washington Center has done/is doing good applications research on rubber and elastomers. They have a website and an information service reached by telephone.
Additionally the trade associations of the plastics industry also occasionally have good articles on recycled elastomers. Try the American Plastics Council and kindred agencies found in the Encyclopedia of Associations.
