Dear Matt Rogge,

You don t need a network of recyclers to answer your questions. You need a plastics engineer familiar with recycled feedstocks. However, there are, at this point, no shortage of programs (or books) on the subject, if only you know where to look.
Several options:

Plastics Research Center, Ball State University: 317-285-5655
Center for Excellence in Polymer Science Eng., Illinois Institute of Tech.: 312-567-5177
 or companies:

GEO Resources HDPE Plastic Resin, Los Angeles, CA: 213-583-5555
Envirolene HDPE Plastic Resin, Portland OR, 503-257-9945
A M Plastics, HDPE Plastic Resin, Buena Park, CA: 714-523-0471

There are, of course, other possibilities.

Hope that this helps.
