Dear Christina Martens,

There is no one equivalency because of the differential nature of mixes solid waste, but here are the ranges:

For durable goods, there are 520 lbs/cubic yard
For Paper, 800 lbs/cubic yard
for glass bottles, 2,800 lbs per cubic yard
for plastics, an average of 350 lbs per cubic yard
for yard wastes, 1,500 lbs per cubic yard

No one mathematical factor will account for all of these conversions.
