February 12/97

Dear Craig Niedermeier,

There are always new recycling strategies abroad, new processes for processing, new sorting schemes, new collection ideas, as well as new remanufacturing technologies, techniques, and much more.
The best way that I know of to continuously keep abreast of these is to read the basic literature that reports on such things:

Waste Age Magazine
Resource Recycling Magazine
Biocycle Magazine (to a limited extent)
Recycling Today
Solid Waste Technologies

and then the commodity trade magazines such as (but not limited to):

Pulp and Paper
Scrap Tire News
Recycling Magnet
Modern Plastics

A reading of the last 3 years of each will bring you pretty well up to speed.
