May 16, 1997
How many times can an aluminum can be recycled? A: An unlimited number of times. Recycled aluminum is remelted and combined with virgin aluminum-producing feedstocks. There is rarely a purely recycled aluminum can used for beverages.
Is there a number on a can? A: If you mean in the same vein as the Society of the Plastics Industry s plastic resins code, no, there is no such need for aluminum.
Is there information on a can regarding recycling? A: Not typically, except to name the bottle law states where deposit legislation is in force, initiating reuse and recycling.
