July 30, 1997

Dear Jeremy,

Perhaps there is a firm that recycles pallets to
office furniture in Miami; I don't know of it. The
firm that I know that does this is in Bronx, NY,
called Big City Forest and which is an offshoot
of the community development nonprofit Boro Bronx 2000 .
You can reach them at tel: 718-731-3931. They use
pallets to make furniture, flooring, and also conduct repair of pallets.

The list of pallet reuse and recycling operations put out
in June, 1996 by the Institute for Local Self Reliance
included only one pallet operation in FL, but it was in a
place called Opa Locka and did not make furniture.
