Where you go largely depends upon what you want to know.
If you will more fully explore this site, you will probably either have a lot of answers or a lot of questions.
Other sites that you can go to are
US EPA (http://www.epa.gov)
National Recycling Coalition (http://www.nrc.org)
There are plenty of industry-specific and materials-specific, place-specific and other recycling site possibilities, on- and off-line. If you are in the US, there is an EPA Regional office of the Office of Solid Waste with a recycling staff member; almost every state in the Union has an agency tasked with promoting or resourcing recycling.
