Dear Carla Pickett,

Before you assume that no one in Maryland will recycle plastics #3-7, I would call the Maryland Recyclers Coalition at 202-962-3358 and ask them the same question.
Also, Division of Recycling, MD Dept. of the Environment, 410-631-3315
Also, Northeast MD Waste Disposal Authority, 410-333-2730
As a last resort, you might try the US EPA Recycling Hotline, 1-800-CLEANUP.

The Research Library knows little about MD, which is in US EPA Region 3. However, a 4 year old directory we have from the interstate organization MACREDO suggests that even then, some #3-7 plastics were being recycled, e.g.

Arundel Recycling Center, Hanover, MD 410-761-6595 were recycling PVC and PS scrap.
Baltimore Foam Recycling Center, Inc. 265-7027 was recycling Polyurethane foam, furniture foam, bedding foams
Canusa Corp., Baltimore, 522-0110 was recycling mixed plastics.
