Dear Pilar Selman,
The literature of the United States and most western European countries is full of books and magazine articles, conference proceedings and government or NGO reports suggesting the markets and new products that can be made with recycled raw materials. Let me suggest the two most widely distributed ones which have a hope of being in some Chilean library:
Recycling Sourcebook edited by Thomas J. Cichonski and Karen Hill (Gale Research, many editions)
The Official Recycled Products Guide by the Recycling Data Management Corp., Tel: 1-800-267-0707.
Let me give you additionally a list of states in the US which have produced good recycled products directories for the use of their in-state purchasers. You can probably obtain copies off of the web: Indiana, Washington, New York, Vermont, Florida, Illinois, California.
Some innovative new products for recycled substances as of 3 years ago included:
Plastics: boardwalks, carpeting, roadway delineators, marine pilings, marine timber, pallets, clothing, tree grates
Glass: construction aggregates, drainage aggregate, drain pipe bedding, tile, sandblastinhg abrasives, septic tank treatment systems
Rubber: backfill for retaining walls, mats for roadbuilding, playground surfaces, soil amendment, sound barriers, cushions, footwear, drainage layer in landfill cover, erosion prevention material
