Dear Eula,

How do you obtain used clothing? First, by advertising for it and being willing to go and pick it up or by having a dropoff location that is open at convenient times for your market.

There is a manual on how to set up a materials exchange Program which is similar in concept to a thift store and will be helpful to you:

The Materials Exchange Program: How to set one up in your community, : by Bruce Holland, Thee National Surplus Exchange Program, 1600 Genessee, Kansas City, MO 64102. Tel: 816-421-1080.

There is another one: A Study of some aspects of the feasibility of establishing a reuse business: A Report to Recycle Ann Arbor 11/18/94. I think that you can get this from Recycle Ann Arbor at 2950 East Ellsworth Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48108
