Can sanitary paper products be recycled?

Yes, but there is not a huge market for them.

There's a much bigger market for many of the other things produced at a hotel: office paper, aluminum and steel and plastic packaging of all varieties, and therre are many opportunities to develop a 'greener' consciousness about such things as chemicals used in cleaning and services rendered, energy conservation opportunities, etc. There are several hotel chains from whom to take lessons on these, e.g. the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston and the Marriott chain.
