Subject: Re: Automobile tires shredding

The main types of tire shredders are rotary and hammermill shreders and tend to be very large pieces of equipment, made principally in the US, Japan, or Germany. Some firms associated with them are Lindemann, Thyseen Henschl and Becker, in Germany, BJD in the UK, Texas Shredder and Osborn Engineering in the US and Kawasaki, Tezuka, Morita in Japan.

A typical shredder uses 460 volt 60 hertz, 3 phase power with a main motor that is 250 hp. Costs vary so widely that quoting any is pointless.
