Dear Gertjan Sterks,

Yes, it is possible to recycle nylon, polyester, fiberglass, even coated. I don't know what kevlar is.

How to remove the coatings can best be known by consulting one or more of the following:

(this is a US-centric answer):

American Textile Manufacturers Assn., Washington, DC
FAX: 202-862-0570

Council for Textile Recycling, Bethesda, MD, e-mail: smartasn@erols.com

Regarding fiberglass: Composite Fabricators Assn, Washington, DC, tel: 703-524-3332.

Others:

American Plastics Institute, Washington, DC

Automotive Composites Aliance, Troy, MI: fax: 248-649-4889.
