Plastic oil bottles are recycled. Recycling Times had an article about one such operation in its 6/1/98 issue. The NYS DEC has access to a study on this that they can send the executive summary of, called Research Study of Oil Bottle Processing in the Post-Consumer Plastics Waste Stream;
