	Unprepared Heavy and Light Steel and Iron. 600,000 lbs (approx.) Unprepared heavy and light steel and iron which may include ferrous and non-ferrous attachments, staged loosely on the ground. This lot is located at 8th & Oregon, Bldg. 5211B, Fort Campbell, KY 42223 (Clarksville, TN). Valid Driver's License, Proof of Insurance, and Proof of Registration are required in order to obtain security pass before entering the Base. Lot may incdlue but is not limited to: vehicular components, frames, braces, chains, cable, racks, desks, chairs, shelving, file cabinets, wall lockers, and more. Buyer Load, No GL Assistance is available. No culling is permitted. The buyer is required to remove material within (3) three days of being notified. The Buyer is required to stage at least (1) one 30-yard roll-off container or other type of open top container of the same size or greater, for scrap accumulation. We, GL, place some scrap items directly into roll-off to avoid hindering the buyer's load out process of the scrap pile. The buyer is required to remove the container within (3) three days of being notified. Government scale will be used in acquiring a tare weight of the Buyer's trucks being used for property removal. Government scale will be used to weigh all scrap removed under this contract at time of removal, to obtain a gross weight. This will provide GL with an accurate account of weight being removed. The Buyer is responsible for spills, including the use of absorbents and disposal of all materials used in spill cleanup, from the immediate scrap storage area and from any trucks or equipment brought on site by the Buyer. The Buer is responsible for the removal of any non-metallic attachments that may be in the scrap pile, but not being removed with the metal. This may include but is not limited to: wooden desk tops, wooden pallets, or any other non-metallic materials. Buyer is responsible for workin gin a neat and safe manner by following GL and Fort Campbell Safety Rules and Regulations. The following Safety Gear is required to be worn at all times while working in the scrap yard: Hardhat, Safety Vest, Safety Glasses, Long Pants, and Steel Toed Boots. All scrap being removed under this contract requires mutilation by the buyer Buyer either prior to removal if allowed by facility or mutilation must be witnessed and certified by DOD Personnel at another facility. Title to the material does not pass to the Buyer until the scrap has been mutilated. The Buyer agrees to allow U.S. Government (USG) Personnel to witness destruction. The price per pound will be adjusted every month beginning with the first full month after the start of the contract. The price will be adjusted during the second week fo the month. The revised price will be determined by tkaing the price of AMM No. 2 Bundle Chicago on the first Thursday of the month and dividing it into the AMM No. 2 Bundle Chicago used on the contract start date. The percentage will be applied to the price per pound to arrive at an adjusted price. No further information is available. Preview and load out by appointment only.
