100, 000 lbs(approx) Mixed metal scrap which may include: iron and steel, light and heavy, unprepared and prepared, irony aluminum, stainless steel, small amounts of copper and brass, all with metallic and non-metallic foreign attachments. May include electrical cabinets and equipment, food service equipment, aircraft related equipment, and tent framing. Purchaser is responsible for picking up small quantities of scrap property around the Scott AFB, Il and St Louis, Mo area. There could be as many as (40) different locations where property may have to be removed. Purchaser is required to obtain empty and full weights from a certified public scale for each pick up. These weight tickets must be faxed to the GL representative within (24) hrs of removal of the property. GL representative or designee will contact purchaser of location of property. Period of performance is 6-months. Property must be removed within (3) working days of notification. Purchaser is responsible for spills, including the use of absorbents and disposal of all trash, from the area of storage. Purchaser is responsible for working in a safe, neat manner. All scrap under this contract requires mutilation by the buyer prior to removal if allowed by the base or mutilation must be witnessed and certified by DOD personnel at another facility. Title to the material does not pass the the buyer until the scrap has been mutilated. Buyer agrees to allow USG personnel to witness destruction. Loading assistance may be available at some of the locations. A 24 hour advance notice is required prior to removal of property.
